Bill and I just love living here at Shallowford Reserve. Shugart built us such a nice and
beautiful home, just what we needed. The people here are
so very warm and friendly, with lots of activities here.
We have pot luck monthly, luncheons and games within a
beautiful club house and a very nice workout room.
The most pleasant part of our buyer experience was
dealing with Helen Overton. She is truly a real asset to
Shugart. We would like to thank Brad, the supervisor,
for all the help in resolving any problem we had. Also,
to Adam, a very fine young man and for the role he plays
in seeing things through here at Shallowford Reserve.
Again, a big thanks to Shugart Enterprises for building
in a wonderful neighborhood, a great place for Bill and
I to live out our remaining lives.

I wanted to thank you for the
opportunity to buy an affordable home from Shugart
Enterprises. I decided to write to tell you about this
awesome experience. I was driving home from work and I
came upon Mount Home Estates. I called the number posted
and left a message. Within minutes, Jan Harmon called me
back to set up an appointment. From the moment I met Jan
Harmon, I knew she would become my realtor and I new
Mount Hope would be my home. She showed me the Jasmine
plan and I fell in love. She also showed me the location
of the various lands that the house could be built upon.
She called Joann Hollifield at Wells Fargo and allowed
me to speak to her. This was a Saturday morning. Joann
finished the work she was doing with another customer
and called me back. Joann stopped her Saturday morning,
received my information and I was approved for the loan.
Throughout this experience Joann has always made herself
readily available to me no matter the day or time that I
call.
I have also had the opportunity to work with Melissa
Crooner and Lori Shumate. They ensured I understood the
home buying process and information needed for closing.
They always sent emails to stay in touch and to update
me on the process.
I can’t thank you enough for Jan Harmon, Mellissa
Crooner, Lori Shumate, and Joann Hollifield, along with
the Superintendent in charge of building my house. They
made this process a very easy process. I hope you are
proud of the team that you have built. I know a lot of
other customers would be grateful to have a team of
people working for them like I had with the Shugart and
Wells Fargo family.

Our short punch list just further
demonstrates the quality of a Shugart Home and its
people. A new home and this is all that is wrong with
the house. Absolutely amazing. And I use any opportunity

The day we visited Sedgemont Village was
a happy day for us! We have been clients of
Coldwell-Banker for many years, having bought and sold
houses through them several times, and we have always
been very happy with the service and availability of the
agent. So, it was no surprise to us that the
Coldwell-Banker team, and Cindy Johnson especially, gave
us complete service, with a professional and friendly
attitude, and was there for us all the way, even helping
with things that she really didn't have to do, but was
just a good person as well as a terrific agent to work
with!
Sedgemont Village has been everything we hoped for in a
new neighborhood. The people are friendly, the streets
are safe, the availability of all kinds of stores so
nearby is terrific, but we don't feel like we are in a
city. It's like living in the country without the drive
to get things done.
The house is so well-built and is exactly what we
ordered. There have been only minor problems and they
were addressed immediately by Steve Kimel and his crew
and were taken care of professionally and quickly. Steve
has been so kind and always with a smile and a hello for
us. I have been so impressed with the energy efficiency
of the house also. Our highest electric bill has been
much less than $100! That is much less than I expected,
and is a great surprise.
All in all, I would recommend Shugart, Coldwell-Banker,
Cindy Johnson, Steve Kimel and Sedgemont Village to
anyone who is looking for a friendly place to live, and
really fine people to work with! Thanks for everything!!

I have lived in my new home in
Heritage Ridge for about 8 months. I found that all
people involved in the purchase process of my new home,
including the real estate agent, the mortgage company,
and everyone at Shugart Enterprises, were helpful,
thorough, and cooperative, making the experience a
pleasure.
Heritage Ridge is peaceful and a safe community with the
grounds beautifully kept. I have found all of the

First of all we
would like to thank Shugart Enterprises for an
outstanding buying experience. We have been very
excited watching our new home being built. The project
site manager from the very beginning has been great to
work with and has always answered our questions
concerning the building process. Our agent Bonnie, our
loan officers Joann and Lori, and Kristy at the Design
Gallery.
I have to say we
look at a lot of houses, Shugart homes was the first
builder we looked at (about 1 ½ years ago) and ended up
being the last one. After visiting a Shugart model home
from the first time we received a DVD that shows how the
house is built from beginning to end, which includes
what I found to be the selling point for us the QUALITY
that goes into the building of the home. Every time we
looked at other homes we always compared them to the
Shugart Homes. We knew exactly what house and floor
plan we wanted. With the economy like it is we were not
sure if this was the right time to buy, but it ended up
the best time to buy for us. Our agent Bonnie
Longhitano was great, she took our information and kept
us posted by email about new homes that were available.
Bonnie knew we were very interested in a Shugart home
and called us to tell us about a new program Shugart was
offering to help folks with a way to earn money that
goes toward their down payment. This program makes it
easier to get into a new home with a smaller out of
pocket down payment. We went by that Saturday to see
Bonnie and talk with her about this program, well it
definitely was something we were interested in. It is
called “The Sweat Equity Program”. The program allows
you to do some of the work yourself (just labor) and you
are credited money off of your down payment. Shugart
provides all the supplies and equipment and you provide
the labor. The program allows you to do the painting,
or landscaping or both. My husband, family and friends
supplied the labor and Shugart supplied everything
needed to get the job done. This may not be for
everybody but if you need help with the down payment (so
that if frees your money up for other things) and are
willing to put some work into your new home than this
may be what you are looking for. We also used Trademark
Mortgage who is affiliated with Shugart Enterprises as
our loan provider and they have made this whole purchase
experience as easy and stress free as possible.
Equipped with little home buying experience, we relied
heavily on Bonnie’s expertise and advice. Bonnie is
always a phone call away, she gave us her work, home
and cell number and told us if we have any questions or
concerns call her anytime and I must say she has been
here for us no matter how big or small the issue she has
always got the information we needed and always made
sure things were taking care of. With the quality and
style we are getting from Shugart and the expertise and
advise we have received from Bonnie, our new home
purchase has been a great experience. We will be
closing in a week and we are so excited to get into our
new home. I know this is a business relationship, but I
feel like everyone we have worked with is our extended
family and I know they are here to make sure we succeed
with our new dream home.
Our experience with
Shugart and all of the partners has made us eager to
recommend them to anyone looking for a new home. Buying
a home is a huge decision so if you are looking, look to
Shugart first I know you will see the quality and style
your are looking for.

I would like to thank everyone at
Shugart for their help in closing on my house in
Braewyck. After my apartment fire I asked if you could
move up my closing date. I asked on a Sunday and your
company made closing possible for me the next Friday.
The real estate company, mortgage company and lawyers
all did an excellent job.
Your job foreman on site was great, all the work was
completed early and the work was great. They also
maintained the work site great. This was one of the best
kept job site I have ever seen. All items on the punch
list were completed on time.
I would like to suggest anyone looking for a house
consider your company.

Well we have been in our new home for
a little over 2 months now and it has been great.
Everyone from the very beginning thru today has been
nothing but helpful and wonderful, everyone’s been so
willing to help us in anyway we’ve needed. We are
certainly glad that we can call the “Mount Hope
Community” our new “Home” community. We were more
looking on the (1-level) side of homes and we were shown
a (2-level) home we both fell in love with it and
decided that was the home for us. We do love it. Thanks
so much for all your help! Who would have thought we’d
be able to own a home in these tough times we are in.
We’ve had a great experience with all of the Shugart
Associates we have worked with and we wish everyone

community. The neighborhood is very family oriented and

We have been in Mt.
Hope almost a year now and it has been a very positive
experience. Having lived in new construction before it
is easy to say the Shugart builds top quality and is
quick and courteous to back that up. Location is very
important and it is nice to have easy access to major
routes in all directions and convenience to good
shopping, without the feeling of being stuck in the
middle of a city. We have found the neighborhood to be
quiet and the neighbors congenial and we enjoy a good
place to walk here.

We would like to say that dealing with
Shugart Enterprises in building our new home in Pilot
Bluff has been a very easy and rewarding experience.
They worked with us on several issues concerning the
accessibility for our physically challenged son.
When we went down to the Gallery to work our selections
for the features in our home, the interior designer was
very helpful.
All in all, we can easily say that everyone that we had
to deal with from Nichols Realty to the actual
completion of our home made this experience a pleasure.
In addition, our home was built Energy Star and we just
received our first Power Bill for 29 days. It was only
$49.84. Amazing! We could hardly believe. Our home is
2091 sq. ft with a finished bonus room and we have an
electric heat pump. We loved that Power Bill and we love
our home.
